This is an excellent bay window T2 Campervan RHD for sale on behalf of a customer. The exterior is very good in VW pastel white and a very nice, custom green. The interior, fitted out in cafe au lait soft vinyl covers and coir matting and matching cushions and curtains, is spotless. Underneath is very sound. With a rock and roll bed, small storage box for a cooking stove, etc. removable table, diesel space heater (not original) and Paris Beetles “Webasto” type full length sunroof, it is raring to go. Ideal for touring camp sites, weddings and other leisure functions, it drives like a typical camper/bus – ie go with the flow! It was driven approx fifty miles to us without incident.
It was featured in an article on its lengthy, glass-out restoration in Volks World “Camper & Bus” magazine from 2012. The chrome Fuchs replica wheels used then have now been replaced with much more authentic steel wheels with domed, Baby Moon hubcaps. Very slightly lowered suspension, chrome back box and tailpipe. A full length outdoor cover is included.
Scottish and London ULEZ compliant, it passed an MoT on 7 August despite being exempt. (The owner is prepared to address the advisories for the right price.) Recent leisure battery, starter battery isolator, USB port in cab, modern stereo, SSP wooden steering wheel. Full file of receipts for work carried out over the years, driver’s manual, copy of the magazine with the relevant article, photo album of restoration (sample pictures below). Odometer reading just over 50k, supported by MoT certificates going back to 2011, but not verified otherwise.
To fit one of these out to this standard now would cost around twice the asking price and that wouldn’t include the donor vehicle.
