Big and beautiful 1940’s American touring saloon from South Africa, superb condition, low mileage, 3 volumes of history, ready to use.
This 22-Series, 6 cylinder/4 litre, RHD Packard Sedan was supplied to Africa in 1948 and spent the next 33 years in SA, Rhodesia and Ghana. It was then shipped by the owner to the UK and unused for the next 28 years until restored from 2009-2012 by an architect in Wetherby at a cost of over £30,000. Since then it has only covered about 1000 miles and is probably the best preserved car of its type in the UK.
Although it has a king-of-the-road presence, it is pleasant to drive, comfortable and safe with seatbelts, big flashing indicators, good brakes and a bullet-proof engine. It comes with three box files of history and literature.
