A good original example of the first Morris Minor. Original carpets etc. Believed to have covered only 9k miles. New double duck folding roof, tyres, 6v battery, indicators. Serviced and running well.
We know this Charming early Minor was purchased from Plas Garage, Llangefni in April 1931. There is little remaining paperwork but the previous owner who contacted those before him found that the car was little used and just stored. The odometer is still working and records 9150 miles.
Following the War and for many years thereafter, it lay in a garage near Buckingham until discovered in the 1980’s. The new owner undertook some renovation to the running gear and the folding hood but used it only sparingly for the next 30 years or so. Recently the son of this owner sold it on to the previous owner from Paulerspury near Towcester who undertook renewal of the running boards, carbs, ignition system and tyres. He took it to local shows and sold it to us earlier this year.
It has the original carpets and everything works well but it had no direction indicator system so we fitted new 6v flashing indicators. These can be removed by a future purist owner. We have also fitted a very rare period Scottish RAC badge which can be retracted should the starting handle be used. It starts well with the electrical starter.
