In excellent restored condition and the best colour combination of old English white coachwork with red leather interior. This is one of the first Coupe produced (Ch 239159) and has matching numbers with its original Registration number. Seatbelts have been fitted.
The car was first registered in 1960 in Newport some four years after production. The original buff log book is still present. Why it lay unused is not known but over the next 40 years it was used sparingly and since 2002 has covered only about 3500 miles. The file has a large number of receipts for work from 1988 with many indicating a major mechanical and body rebuild over several years from 2006 onwards by the then owner, Mr Justin Cooper of Sussex. There are also some MoT’s and photographs from this period.
The car is in good condition all round and drives particularly well. The modern tyres are lower profile than the originals and make for good roadholding but can be changed should that be desired. The seats are comfortable and all the instruments work. Altogether an iconic British sportscar and a joy to own.
