Rolls Royce Pre-War Wraith Sports Saloon (1939)
This Rolls Royce is one of only 491 Wraith Sports Saloons made before the War. Its elegant lines, dark green and grey Mulliner bodywork and black leather interior make it one of the most luxurious cars of the late 30s. It has only had two owners, both in the Edinburgh area where the car is well-known and a newspaper cutting shows it won the Grand Prix d’Honneur at the Holyrood Park gathering in 1963.
Vital Statistics are; delivery on 27 January 1939, Chassis WRB4, Engine E8WE (4410cc), Reg PSC 87. Records show a complete engine rebuild in 1960 and much mechanical work in the 1990s. The odometer reads 8,300 and it is totally original. It drives smoothly and silently and has only covered about 3000 miles in the last 20 years. It has been serviced within the last 200 miles and will be supplied with new MoT.
We are pleased to offer the car for sale on behalf of the owner’s family who would prefer that it stayed in Scotland where it has been for nearly 75 years.
