Bentley Corniche MPW Convertible (1975)
There were only 77 of these cars produced and the colour of this one, dark Brewster Green and beige hide, makes it probably the best. It has only covered 75k miles and is in excellent condition in every respect including the power operated hood which is unmarked. Its UK number plate of KYL4P has been reclaimed. A truly appreciating asset.
These cars were the top of the Bentley range in the 70’s and the first with several innovations such as ventilated disc brakes. The highly developed 6.74 litre V8 engine is hardly run-in at this mileage and the car runs like the day it was supplied new by Jack Barclay Ltd of London 36 years ago.
Since then it has spent a period in Florida where it covered 49k miles before returning to the UK and then the Isle of Man. In 2003 it had some key mechanical work undertaken and in May 2009 its service included a new silencer, rebuilding of the rear brakes and power steering pipes and replacement of the oil cooler. It is now ready to drive away with its new Tax and MoT
